About Betsy Cox
Betsy is the creative force behind each production. With more than eighteen years’ experience producing, directing and writing short and long-format programs, she is the recipient of over fifty national and international film and video awards.
Ironically, Betsy’s career began on the other side of the camera. From 1987 to 1990, she served as public relations director for a national non-profit working on the POW/MIA issue in Southeast Asia. When she received a grant to produce a video on the issue, she quickly realized she’d found her true calling.
For the next seven years, Betsy produced videos focusing on history, arts and healthcare in Washington, DC, and developed a passion for bringing previously untold stories to light.
In 1997, she founded Betsy Cox Productions.
