The Archie Edwards Blues Heritage Foundation

Archie Edwards -- D.C. barber and Piedmont blues musician who played with the likes of Mississippi John Hurt - died in 1998, but his legacy lives on through weekly blues jam sessions in Riverdale, MD. I had the amazing honor of meeting and working with Archie in the  early 90's, when he participated in my first documentary, "Who's Gonna Sing Our Song?".   His humor, talent and approach to life are unforgettable.  It is easy to understand why those who played with him every Saturday afternoon in his barber shop have kept the music -- and his memory -- alive.
